Troubleshooting

Diagnose common setup, provider, project, permission, and interface issues without losing your work.

Start with the basics

Confirm that CODVIAN is running, the project folder is available, and the selected provider is connected. Restart the app if the interface becomes unresponsive, then reopen the last known-good session.

  • Check that the project is loaded
  • Confirm the provider connection
  • Review model and endpoint settings
  • Check project and tool permissions
  • Read the latest terminal or browser error

Provider issues

If a model does not respond, verify the key or endpoint, test a small prompt, and confirm that the selected model supports the requested features. Capability support varies by provider and model.

Keep secrets out of reports

When asking for help, remove API keys, tokens, credentials, customer data, and private URLs from logs and screenshots.

Project and permission issues

If the agent cannot read or change a file, check the project scope and permission mode. If a command fails, inspect the working directory and the exact output before changing the plan.

Get support

If the issue persists, use the contact page and include the CODVIAN version, operating system, provider type, project type, steps to reproduce, and a redacted error message.
